KALEIDOSPROCKET
BY Tim Grabham found footage / 2025 / UK / 7’ 30’’ Disembodied movie fragments mutate into a handmade lurid looping graphical landscape where captive movie actors descend into a celluloid maelstrom to witness the ensuing disorder. A reconfiguring of abandoned, decaying and orphaned celluloid material into complex hand-built collages with ambiguous fragmentary narratives. |
Tim Grabham (AKA iloobia) has a tendency toward the manipulation of archive and obsolete media formats, the reconfiguration of abandoned, decaying and orphaned celluloid material, and hand-worked bespoke analogue processes.

TOWARD A FUNDAMENTAL
THEORY OF PHYSICS by Victor Van Rossem 16mm / 2025 / Belgium / 12’ 48’’ Toward a fundamental theory of physics is an experimental short shot on 16mm film using a handcrafted Time-Slice camera with 293 lenses—a modern reconstruction and reinterpretation of the original device built by Tim Macmillan in the early 1980s. The title refers to the “Theory of Everything”, the holy grail of physics, a single law that would unify the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics. It’s a quest in which every step forward also feels like a step backward: to know more is to understand less, a paradox that also characterises artistic creation. |
As in physics, time and light are fundamental to film, and this short offers a unique, tactile study of both elements: time as the sculptor, and light as the sculpted.
Victor Van Rossem is an artist from Ghent, Belgium, working across film, animation, and writing. Embracing an experimental and eclectic approach, he is always searching for unexpected blends of media and genres. His work includes the short documentaries Neal D Retke For President! and Homeboy, the short story collection A Man Is Not Alone, and Wereldbeïnvloederaar, a bundle of WhatsApp poetry. He also runs an experimental music label, bwaa. |

WHEREVER STREET PIECE
by Panu Johansson 16mm, found footage / 2024 / Finland / 8’ 49’’ “Wherever Street Piece” is a found footage film that describes impersonal and fragmented memories that cannot be directly linked to the life of one particular individual. Simultaneously the film documents the way these past realities – forgotten people in forgotten situations – blend together from the perspective of the present. Obviously not everything can be stored and passed on, but if we neglect the lessons of the past, are we also bound to repeat its mistakes? |
Panu Johansson is a media artist and an experimental filmmaker from Finland.
He works with moving image, photography and sound. His works have been exhibited in various festivals, exhibitions and microcinemas since the year 2000. |
