SMALL FORMAT FILM PRODUCTION
Shooting, Processing and Projecting Super 8mm & 16mm film

In this two day workshop, participants will be exposed to the entire production cycle for motion picture film through a hands-on exploration of the essential elements of cinematography, photo-processing, editing & projection for both super 8mm film and 16mm film.
In this, participants will learn to operate a varieties of cine cameras so as to autonomously document the surrounding city on several rolls of black and white film. After this, we will construct a very basic darkroom and utilize household items to mix a variety of photo chemicals for processing the films as both negatives and positives. Finally, participants will learn to edit the films and operate a projector for exhibition.
