Danny Plotnick ha realizzato un libro straordinario, che ripercorre la storia del super8 attraverso una ricca galleria fotografica, con molte interviste ai protagonisti di ieri e di oggi del formato a passo ridotto.
Danny è un filmmaker indipendente americano che ha realizzato la maggior parte dei suoi lavori in super8 fin dagli anni '80, particolarmente legato alla scena underground, è docente di cinema all'università di San Francisco.

ANALOGICA è molto contenta di avere Danny Plotnick in diretta live per la prima presentazione italiana del suo libro.

Danny Plotnick hat ein außergewöhnliches Buch geschrieben, das die Geschichte des Super8-Formats durch eine umfangreiche Fotogalerie sowie zahlreiche Interviews mit den Protagonisten der Schmalfilmkamera von gestern und heute dokumentiert.
Danny ist ein unabhängiger amerikanischer Filmemacher, der seit den 1980er Jahren den größten Teil seiner Werke, insbesondere im Zusammenhang mit der Underground-Szene, im Format Super8 aufgenommen hat und an der Universität von San Francisco Film unterrichtet.

Danny Plotnick is a filmmaker and author of Super 8: An Illustrated History which traces the history of the Super 8. It includes several interviews with both current and past artists of this format. Danny has been an independent filmmaker in the U.S. since the 1980s with most of his work made in Super 8 format. He is especially connected to the underground scene. Plotnick currently teaches film at the University of San Francisco.
