Suffering from Alzheimer's, a man watches a Super 8 film from his past at his son's request.
The images of holidays at his grandparents' house awaken buried sensations, the gentleness of the wind, the warmth of the sun, the tranquillity of childhood.
This film was created using footage reworked during the Nice 2024 and Cambridge 2025 scratch workshops.

Flowers for my dad

Made over several years, Flowers for my dad is dedicated to my father, to his way of living in the world, to his deep connection with nature and animals.
Through images that are sometimes fragile, the film also approaches illness and the act of remembering after passing.
The film is constructed as a gesture to remember who he was, and above all, to remember the sound of his voice.

Clémentine Chapron is a filmmaker and visual artist exploring the expressive possibilities of Super 8. Through artisanal and ecological processes, and working directly on film, with painting and plant matter, she creates “herbarium films” that explore the organic, fragile and unstable nature of the analogue image.

Personaje Secundario is a short film that reflects on the role of women in home movies and archives. The film decontextualises the images from their original subject and setting to construct a narrative and a dialogue between different women.
Through animation and the manipulation of the images themselves, the filmmaker blurs the presence of the male figure by stripping him of his face and body, thereby focusing attention on the women who accompany them.

Filmmaker, programmer and researcher Elena Calvo combines her professional and academic activities with cultural management of events and activities through the Algarabía Cultural Association, of which she is the founder. She has been a member of the jury at several festivals, collaborates with Casa Árabe in Córdoba and participated in the 16th edition of S8 in A Coruña. She recently organised and coordinated a week of activities around Memoria y Cine Doméstico and Muestra de Cine Palestino 1 at Casa Árabe.

Miryam Charles is a Haitian-Canadian director, producer and cinematographer. She has produced several short and feature films. Her films have been shown at various festivals in Quebec and abroad. In 2022, her first feature film Cette maison was presented at the Berlinale, the Viennale, the TIFF Top and was named one of Sight and Sound's best films of the year. The same year, she debuted the short film Au crépuscule at the Locarno Film Festival.

Ruben Chitrit and Violette Bellet are two filmmakers based in Rennes. They met in art school in Nantes and are since collaborating on various projects, including analog films. Ruben is also a musician and Violette a documentary filmmaker.

Línette is a French-Icelandic filmmaker interested in the dark, the analog and the intimate. She lives between a rural town in Iceland and a city in the United States.
