A self-portrait in the mirror, although there is neither a portrait nor a mirror. The film explores the boundaries of what can and cannot be said through the remediation of a 1930 home movie, where a dance between body and hypertext unfolds.

Federica Foglia is a visual artist and PhD researcher in Cinema & Media Studies at York University in Toronto. Her practice revolves around tactile cinema, recycled and amateur filmmaking, archives, ecofeminism, and materialist cinema. Working within the domestic space, she reworks found footage and orphan films, intervening directly on the body of celluloid through a sculptural approach, particularly through 16mm emulsion lifting.
